Got my Oona

I went to the mail box this afternoon and found a key to open the special delivery box. “Hmmm. I guess we’ve got a package. Probably for Matthew’s birthday”, I thought. I opened the special delivery box to find a package from Oona! Whoo Hoo! Finally.

I ran across the Oona on Kickstarter.com in May. You may remember that I was looking for a stand or tripod attachment for my iPhone earlier this year. I watched the video for the Oona and knew that it was exactly what I needed. I pledged $25 and waited for it to reach it’s funding goal, which I knew it would. Well on June 3, 2011 it reached its goal and I began the wait to get mine.

I waited and waited and waited. Then I pretty much forgot about it…kinda. The Oona team were great at keeping me updated on progress via email, but after the first few I kinda stopped even opening them. I just decided to wait. I get so much email. You know what I mean.

Well, as you know, it came today! So I’ll get using it and try to keep you posted.

Got an Oona? How do you like it? What have you been doing with it? I’d love to hear.

Color of the Year for 2009

PANTONE® 14-0848 Mimosa

“The color yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance,” explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. “Mimosa also speaks to enlightenment, as it is a hue that sparks imagination and innovation.”Best illustrated by the abundant flowers of the Mimosa tree and the sparkle of the brilliantly hued cocktail, the 2009 color of the year represents the hopeful and radiant characteristics associated with the color yellow. Mimosa is a versatile shade that coordinates with any other color, has appeal for men and women, and translates to both fashion and interiors. Look for women’s accessories, home furnishings, active sportswear and men’s ties and shirts in this vibrant hue.”
